October Nor’easter

Unusually early Nor’easter snow storm wreaks havoc to the northeastern US on Oct 30, 2011.

The storm left over 3 million homes without power. We lost power around 1am and got it back at 5pm. PSNH, our power company, estimates that it will take a week to restore power to all the homes it serves. The schools are closed and the high school is being used as a shelter.

We have a few trees that broke from the weight of the wet snow in our yard. In spite of the damage, the snow did look beautiful.
