Badwater Basin

At an elevation of 282ft below sea level, the Badwater Basin is the lowest point in North America. The salt crust is usually pushed up into hexagonal shapes. We went during the peak touring season and all the hexagonal shapes where trampled on. The site is fed by a small spring, and in spite of the salt there is plant and animal life in it.
