Rhyolite, NV

During our stay at Death Valley, we jumped back into Nevada to visit the ghost town of Rhyolite.

Rhyolite was mining town that began in 1905. At its height it had a population between 3500 and 5000. The town lasted just a short time. By 1911, the population dropped to below 1000 and was close to zero by 1920. Now it is just a tourist stop and one of the most photographed town in the west. It was a fun place for us to explore.
