Mexican Hat

Just north of the Monument Valley, UT there is a unique rock formation  appropriately named the Mexican Hat.  Nature doing its balancing act!

 

At this place we noticed a mountain goat sitting just at top of a hill close to the Mexican Hat.  It was made with a Sony NEX-6 with a Canon EF 70-200 at 200mm.  The lens was attached to the Sony camera using Canon EF-NEX adapter and a Canon 1.4 extender, making the effective focal length 420mm (200 x 1.4 x 1.5).  Focus magnifier in the Sony made the manual focusing quite easy, but I could have used a tripod to make this shot easier.
